Thony winced. “NOT. I'm not interested in anyone, guy or girl. I don't have the right to be interested,” he began

Your Big Quest, yadda, yadda, yadda,” Daffyd rolled his eyes. “It's to find someone to marry you, right?”

“A princess,” Thony clarified. “Whose dad will lend me his army to protect Aldyrwald.”

“Someone,” Daffyd corrected. “And how much of an 'army' do you need anyways? A dozen knights and maybe a couple hundred regular troops? Or the equivalent?”

Thony blinked. He hadn't actually thought about numbers

“About that, I suppose,” he admitted, after thinking about it for a moment. “More wouldn't hurt, though.”

It wasn't likely there was anyone in the Mountain-Region who would know how to manage terribly large forces.

“You think too much,” Daffyd said as Thony ruminated on these new ideas.

And then Thony found himself being kissed without asking. Again.

And it was still the same problem. He didn't want to hurt Daffyd. He just wanted to be asked.

(Well, and for his 'no' to be properly respected.)
